Service

Team members carry out service projects that benefit their chartered organization, their community, the environment, and needy individuals.

Some ideas for service projects include:

  • Participate in BSA's Scouting for Food every March
  • Contact the city manager for your city to see what projects they have
  • Participate in your local community clean up day
  • Contact the Highway Patrol and volunteer to participate in their "Adopt a Highway" program
  • Clean up a local park or street
  • Contact the Forest Service and volunteer for a project
  • Contact a rest home or hospital and volunteer to visit people
  • Put on an activity day for younger children in your community
  • Plant flowers at a local church or city hall
  • Volunteer to usher at a community play or other cultural event
  • Participate in a local 'sub for Santa' campaign
  • Volunteer to read to children at the library or school

Please send us any other ideas you may have.
